Jules Dalod-Danesi / Nio Far
"Nio Far" is the first book by French photographer Jules Dalod-Danesi. This book is the result of several encounters, including one with a childhood friend of Senegalese origin. Inspired by this friendship, Jules explores the country through poignant meetings, from Ndiedieng, an isolated village, to the island of Gorée and the fishing villages of the Siné Saloum.
At each stop, he captures the beauty of the places, the warmth of the people, and their joy of life, particularly through a group of children he met on a beach. Through his lens, his analog photographs convey every moment, every light, every color, every scent.
"Nio Far" means "we are together." This slogan sums up the spirit of hospitality and solidarity that Jules experienced, and it pays tribute to those who offered him far more than what he came looking for.
