Romane Iskaria
Romane Iskaria holds a National Diploma in Fine Arts (DNA) from the Fine Arts School of Marseille (INSEAMM) and a Master’s degree in photography from ENSAV La Cambre (Brussels). Her approach is both documentary and fictional. She works on long-term investigations to amplify the voices of invisible communities and tell their stories. Romane Iskaria’s work has been exhibited in several countries (United States, France, Belgium, Armenia, Italy, and the Netherlands). She was selected for the Polka Magazine & Kickstarter call for projects for the creation and support of an artist’s book Assyrians which was also a winner of the Belgian Photo Books selection presented at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2022. Romane Iskaria is the recipient of the TIFF 2024 Emerging Belgian Photography award in collaboration with FOMU (Antwerp) and FUTURES.
