Laure Winants
Laure Winants obtained her master’s degree in visual communication at IHECS (Brussels) in 2016. She specialized in visual arts at the Belo Horizonte UFMG Fine Arts School (Brazil) and furthered her practice in Belgium by attending KASK Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Ghent) in 2017. Laure Winants collaborates with various transdisciplinary research groups such as CNRS/CNES on atmospheric pollution in the Pyrenees with Albedo 2021, the volcanology laboratory in Iceland on monitoring natural and anthropic phenomena with Phenomena 2022 and the Norwegian Polar Institute on polar research with the Time
Capsule project 2023-2024. Laure Winants has exhibited her work in Berlin, Reykjavik, Brussels, Paris, and soon in Stockholm, Luxembourg, and Osaka. Her exhibitions include Matière Critique at ISELP (Brussels), Time Capsule (Japan), Épreuves de la Matière at the Banque nationale de France (Paris) in 2024, and APPROCHE with Fisheye Gallery (Paris) and La Biennale de l’Image Tangible (Paris) in 2023, among others. Her work has entered the collection of several foundations such as the Luxembourg Arts Foundation and the Palais de Liège. Alongside Hangar, Laure Winants is exhibiting at Foto Arsenal Wien in spring 2024.
