Dana Cojbuc
Graduated from the Fine Arts of Bucharest and after studying communication in Athens, Dana Cojbuc developed a photographic work for several years before making a transition to drawing. During an artistic residency at the Sunnhorland Museum (Norway) in 2019, the transition from a purely photographic approach to a drawn vision of the landscape took place. Using her own prints, Dana Cojbuc extrapolates, redefines boundaries, and reinvents the subject through drawing. Dana Cojbuc’s works have been the subject of several exhibitions in Europe: Sunnhorland Museum (Norway), Festival Backlight (Finland), Circulation(s) (Paris), Maison de la photographie d’Europe Centrale (Slovakia). In 2022, she received the Jury Prize for the Tremplins Jeunes Talents residency at the Planches Contact Festival (Deauville), became the winner of the «Landscape» Talent Grant and published her first book, Yggdrasil. She was a finalist for the Swiss Life Prize at 4 hands and a finalist for the Art Collector Prize in 2023.
